Job summary

A supportive home care provider is seeking a Personal Assistant in the HU2 area of Hull. About the role

A Personal Assistant is required for a young lady in the HU2 area of Hull who has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, delayed global development, autism and Tourette's. The role involves supporting her daily needs and attending to community activities, with the requirement to have two sleepovers a week.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the young lady to day centre Monday to Friday, pick her up after day centre and escort her home for a meal; ensure she has safe transport to medical appointments.
  • Provide personal and continence care as needed.
  • Accompany her to community outings such as the shops, cinema, local park, dog walks, and other activities.
  • Assist with listening to YouTube and music when at home.
  • Support with 2 sleepovers per week as required.
  • Maintain a supportive, honest, and non-judgemental relationship built on trust and respect.
  • Communicate effectively with the young lady, her caregivers, and relevant staff.
Requirements
  • Honest, reliable, good at communicating, tolerant, non-judgemental, and able to build strong trust-based relationships.
  • Preferred: Driver’s licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to provide safe transport.
  • Must undergo a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check; the cost will be covered by the employer.
  • Travel to the HU2 area of Hull is required.
  • Flexible hours; availability to discuss schedule during interview.
  • Mileage costs will be met by the employer.
