A leading care provider in St Andrews seeks an Activities Co-ordinator to plan and implement enjoyable activities for residents. Applicants should have a background in working with vulnerable individuals and possess strong planning, communication, and organisational skills. In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. By joining HC-One you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to our Residents.
As an Activities Co-ordinator it will mean planning and implementing activities that delight our Residents. You will help the Home Manager organise essential fundraising events. Whether you're helping Residents socialise with confidence, developing activity ideas based on Residents' hobbies, or getting the rest of the care home team involved, you will do so with kindness above all else.
HC-One are looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Beyond that, its about your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You will have strong planning, organisational and IT skills and be able to manage your time effectively. When you communicate with a Resident or co-worker, you will be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone responsibility. You should recognise signs indicating possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
