Are you an experienced performance marketer ready to step up, broaden your scope, and start shaping acquisition strategy as well as execution?

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Acquisition Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team, working across our brands Crime+Investigation, Sky HISTORY and HISTORY Play. The role will focus on driving audience acquisition and engagement.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Acquisition Marketing Manager will play a key role in the delivery and optimisation of digital campaigns for SVOD (subscription video on demand) services and manage the implementation and evaluation of brand and marketing campaigns, in line with the overall marketing strategy. In this role you will create, execute and optimise marketing activities across different linear and digital platforms to promote our company's brands.

We in the Marketing department are passionate experts that bring our brands to life with a collaborative, creative and connected approach. Working across multiple platforms including TV, SVOD and DTC (direct to consumer), the Acquisition Marketing Manager will establish working relationships with colleagues in Communications, Media Planning, Social, Creative, Insights, Commercial and Programming teams.

This is a permanent position. This role will be hybrid based, in the London office at least 3 days a week, working on exciting, award-winning brands like Sky HISTORY, HISTORY Play and Crime+Investigation.

Key Responsibilities
Acquisition and Performance Marketing
  • Own end-to-end SVOD acquisition campaigns across paid and organic channels, managing budget phasing, pacing, optimisation, and performance to maximise subscriber growth and ROI.
  • Partner with Insights & Analytics to map the customer journey and translate data into acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies that increase LTV and reduce churn for HISTORY Play and Crime+Investigation.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, spend efficiency, and targeting effectiveness, generating insights to inform optimisation, forecasting, and future planning.
  • Manage SEO strategy and budget to drive organic visibility and support broader acquisition objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with agency partners to leverage platform innovations, audience insights, testing opportunities, and optimisation tools across channels.
  • Contribute to ongoing performance marketing testing across new channels and tactics, embedding learnings into scalable acquisition strategies.
  • Ensure accurate campaign tracking, reporting, and measurement frameworks are in place across all acquisition activity.
Brand / Campaign
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager in managing brand campaigns with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including organic social and paid digital marketing campaigns. This will include timelines, task ownership, deliverables and external agency management.
  • Work closely with the social media team ensuring social plans support the overall marketing strategy.
  • Understand and deliver on the brand positioning, values and target audiences to ensure alignment in brand and creative approach on all creative campaigns.
  • Brief ownership – understanding objectives and interpreting into strong campaign briefs which inspire and motivate, whilst delivering key marketing messages to meet the overarching UK marketing strategy, with clear and insightful objectives.
  • Stay abreast of best practices, technology and advertising trends and use this to contribute ideas to campaigns.
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Partner with brand marketing managers, social media, programming and creative teams to align acquisition campaigns with overarching brand and campaign objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end campaign execution.
  • Share and communicate briefs and plans with all relevant departments, ensuring consistency of messaging across all areas.

Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or performance media.
  • Hands‑on experience managing programmatic/performance marketing platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision‑making.
  • Comfortable dealing with large sets of data.
  • Skilled in monitoring and tracking performance across multiple campaigns and producing actionable reports.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative team player.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in the entertainment, streaming, or similarly fast‑paced consumer marketing environment.
  • Proven experience working with media and creative agencies, including media planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with linear and non‑linear performance metrics, including VOD and FAST models.
  • Knowledgeable across the SVOD and DTC landscape, product features, business models and promotions.
  • Ability to identify and recommend data‑driven proposition improvements with clear, measurable success criteria.
