Accounting Technician / Chartered Accountant
Eastbourne or Hove

ProTalent are delighted to be supporting a respected and growing accountancy firm as they seek an Accounting Technician or Qualified Accountant to join their expanding team.

This is a varied role offering exposure to a broad mix of accounts and tax compliance work, along with excellent opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Working across all areas of practice work for a range of personal tax and business clients
  • Assisting with the management of a client portfolio to ensure a high quality service
  • Preparing and reviewing sole trader accounts, personal tax returns, company accounts and corporation tax returns
  • Providing VAT advice and assisting with VAT compliance
  • Maintaining strong technical standards through ongoing training and CPD
  • Coaching and supporting junior staff to help develop their knowledge and confidence
  • Growing your expertise in Xero and other cloud based systems
  • Supporting wider practice activities when required
  • Communicating clearly with colleagues and clients, ensuring a professional and proactive approach
Qualifications
  • AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Experience in accounts preparation within an accountancy practice
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong, methodical approach
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines
  • Problem solving skills and an investigative mindset
  • Good IT skills, including confident use of Excel and Word

This is a full time role of 38.75 hours per week. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Positions are available in both the Eastbourne and Hove offices.
