Priyo Pay is a fast-growing cross-border fintech company connecting Emerging Markets with the USA through secure, fast, and affordable global payment and financial services. We are expanding our Finance & Accounts team in Dhaka and looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations.

Role Summary

The Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily bookkeeping using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.), handling banking operations, petty cash, expense tracking, and supporting month-end closing activities.

This is a junior-level position ideal for someone who is organized, disciplined, trustworthy, and eager to grow in a fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Bookkeeping & Accounting
  • Record all financial transactions in QuickBooks / Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger, journal entries, and financial records.
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor account balances.
  • Manage accounts payable (vendor invoices, bills, due payments).
  • Manage accounts receivable (customer invoices, payment tracking).
2. Banking Operations
  • Prepare and manage bank deposits, fund transfers, and payment instructions.
  • Track inward and outward remittances and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support monthly bank reconciliation and maintain transaction logs.
3. Petty Cash & Expense Management
  • Maintain petty cash register and ensure proper documentation for every transaction.
  • Verify business expenses and maintain receipts as per company policy.
  • Process employee reimbursements and maintain expense reports.
4. Documentation & Compliance Support
  • Maintain organized files for vouchers, invoices, receipts, contracts, and official documents.
  • Assist in preparing reports for internal audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the Head of Finance in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities.
5. Internal Coordination
  • Work closely with Operations, HR, and Admin teams to align financial records.
  • Follow up on financial approvals and maintain proper communication flow.
  • Provide timely updates to the Head of Finance & Accounts.
