Clark Wood, specialists in Public Practice recruitment, have been instructed by a highly reputable regional firm in Bury St Edmunds to find a talented ACA / ACCA Qualified Accounts & Audit to join their expanding team.

This an exciting opportunity to join one of Suffolk's most established accountancy practices with a clear platform to progress into Management.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have diverse general practice experience, including leading audit assignments for various clients, preparing accounts, and handling tax returns. This role offers a unique balance of general practice work, business advisory projects, accounts preparation, tax, and auditing tasks, positioning you well for future professional development. You'll also gain exposure to a diverse client base, including SMEs, OMBs, and some international groups.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Advise owner-managed businesses on a range of accounts and business advisory matters
  • Lead audit assignments from planning to conclusion, including staff supervision and client management
  • Prepare tax computations and Corporation Tax returns (CT600)
  • Prepare accounts for companies, groups of companies, partnerships, and LLPs, along with related tax computations
