Qualifications

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in accounting software is an advantage (Xero ideal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor amounts due from customers, ensuring terms are correct.
  • Encourage customers to pay amounts due on time.
  • Assist with customer invoice quality control checks.
  • Reconcile debtor accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations on Xero.

As our Accounts Assistant - AR, you'll be at the heart of our finance team, ensuring that our numbers stack up as impressively as our brand reputation. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis providing key insights to help drive our success. Responsibilities
  • Monitoring of amounts due from customers and ensuring terms are correct on system, with any credit limit issues are escalated promptly
  • Encouraging customers to pay amounts due on time, through communication and prompt chasing where needed
  • Escalation of late payments in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Assisting with customer invoice quality control checks as required
  • Allocation of cash payments to account debtor balances on system
  • Reconciliation of debtor accounts on a monthly basis, escalating any issues
  • Dealing with customer payment, credit limit and other queries
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations on Xero system, ensuring all bank accounts reconciled in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assistance in provision of information and information to support annual external audit
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports as required
  • Support with ad hoc requests from Finance Director and CFO
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, tax, and financial regulations as required
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance team as required.
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
  • Liaise with internal departments to support financial operations.
  • Working to timelines provided by Finance Director for daily, weekly and monthly task completion
Qualifications
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software is an advantage (Xero ideal) along with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders. AAT qualification (or working towards) is desirable
  • 1+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role is desirable
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-growth business is an advantage
