Location: Nottingham

Hours: 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday : 09:00 – 17:15

The Challenge…

As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Management Accountant and Finance Controller to support the smooth running of our finance function.

You will be responsible for :

• Supporting our AR Credit Control and AP Purchase Ledger
• Posting daily cash transactions
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Phone coverage for internal site needs, customers and suppliers
• Handle customer and supplier queries by phone and email
• Reporting and daily admin activities
• Daily office duties and coverage of Team needs
• Assist in implementing additional technology / system features across the finance and sales admin departments – maximising Business Central capabilities

To succeed, you will need :

• To be an efficient, and accurate Accounts Assistant with an attention to detail
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, being able to prioritise your own workload and respond to competing priorities, while supporting the team during busier periods
• The ability and motivation to work on your own initiative and operate with colleagues across multiple sites
• Be flexible and able to respond to daily Business needs
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to take on new skills and adopt new approaches, developing both yourself and others around you
• A high level of competency in Microsoft Excel
• Continuous improvement mindset

You’ll really hit the ground running if you have…

• Previous experience in the commercial vehicles and vehicle rentals industry
• Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central and QuickBooks with high level of Microsoft skills
