Responsibilities include managing supplier invoices, preparing payments, and handling VAT returns. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a busy office environment and ideally hold an Accounts Technician Qualification. Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Hold an Accounts Technician Qualification or currently studying your ATI (Desirable).

Responsibilities

  • Entering of Supplier invoices onto the Purchase Ledger.
  • Preparing payments to suppliers.
  • VAT Returns.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Supplier statement reconciliation.
  • Journal Posting.
  • Month end closing.
  • Manage customer invoice runs.
  • Produce monthly reports as required.
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, as well as internal personnel.
  • Timely posting and reconciliation of all customer payments.
  • Provide cover for other key tasks within the team as required, including audit requests.

About the Job

Reporting to the Finance Director the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for assisting with and completing the following duties

Key responsibilities
  • Entering of Supplier invoices onto the Purchase Ledger
  • Preparing payments to suppliers
  • VAT Returns

  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Journal Posting

Previous experience
