Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation & review of quarterly management accounts for clients.
• Deliver client advisory services.
• Lead pre-year end strategic planning meetings with clients.
• Review & complete accountancy work including VAT returns and tax returns.
• Act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients.

Job description

Artemis Human Capital is thrilled to be exclusively partnering with a dynamic & growing accounting firm based in Belfast. This is a truly career defining opportunity to work directly alongside the firm's Director of Accounting in a newly created role that is pivotal to the firm's future growth plans.

This role will blend technical expertise with people management ensuring efficient workflows, consistently high standards, & strong client relationships are maintained and developed. As manager, you will also work collaboratively with senior management to provide updates, and also assist with growth and planning strategy for the wider firm.

The Role

Working directly alongside the firm's Accounting Director, you will work across the following:

• Oversee the preparation & review of quarterly management accounts for clients.
• Delivery of all client advisory services.
• Lead & participate in pre year end strategic planning meetings with clients, ensuring the delivery of high value advice.
• Review & completion of accountancy work (including VAT returns, year end accounts & tax returns).
• Acting as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, quality, & timeliness of all agreed deliverables.
• Contribute to business development initiatives.
• Mentorship of junior team members.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will be an ambitious accounting professional. You must also possess the following:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA).
• A minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience, preferably within a practice setting.
• Leadership skills, management experience would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ambitious & driven professional with a solutions orientated approach.
