Overview

Job Title: Accountant - Construction Sector
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Competitive, DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
  • Oversee VAT returns, audits, and financial reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow and manage AP/AR processes
  • Advise senior management on financial strategy and investment decisions
  • Lead and mentor the finance team
Qualifications
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Proficient in Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
