A reputable recruitment agency is seeking an adept finance professional to provide crucial financial advice to the Council's Housing Leisure and Community Support Services. The successful candidate will oversee budget performance and contribute to strategic financial planning. This role is pivotal in providing financial advice and support to the Housing Leisure and Community Support Services of the Council. The position involves delivering financial information and guidance to key stakeholders including the Head of Finance, Chief Accountant, Team Heads and budget holders. The role is essential for ensuring the financial health and strategic planning of the Council's services within the post holder's remit.
An in-depth knowledge of local government finance and general local government procedures.
Relevant staff management experience – including the ability to deliver through others.
Experience of liaison with budget managers and senior staff.
Experience in producing written reports on complex issues tailored to the needs of different audiences.
Track record of improving the quality of service to customers.
AAT qualified (or higher) with 5 years experience of working in a local authority financial environment.
