Account Director - Paid Media/PPC
Edinburgh hybrid | 2 days per week in-office

Denholm Associates is delighted to be partnering with 8 Million Stories, one of the UK’s fastest-growing digital agencies, to recruit an experienced Account Director to join their expanding paid media team.

8 Million Stories works with an impressive portfolio of household-name clients including BBC, General Mills, Visit Britain, Tesco Bank and Trespass, delivering performance-driven paid media strategies across multiple markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior paid media professional looking to make a genuine impact within a high-growth, ambitious agency environment.

The opportunity

Reporting into senior leadership, the Account Director will take ownership of a portfolio of high-profile brands, leading paid media strategy and delivery as part of broader digital and marketing plans. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role, combining strategic leadership with day‑to‑day campaign oversight in a performance‑led agency setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers and internal channel specialists
  • Developing and implementing paid media strategies across multiple brands and international regions
  • Overseeing and supporting activity across paid media channels including Google Ads, Meta and others
  • Operating within a KPI‑driven environment, ensuring campaigns consistently deliver against performance targets
  • Managing overall budgets, forecasting and revenue tracking for client campaigns
  • Staying ahead of industry trends across paid media, search, social and digital marketing
  • Contributing ideas, innovation and strategic thinking to the wider PPC and digital roadmap
About you
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in paid media account management, ideally agency‑side
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing and campaign optimisation
  • Experience working with GA4 and associated analytics tools
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator, comfortable managing senior client relationships
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • GAP qualified (preferred)
