Job summary

A leading UK football club is looking for an Academy Performance Analysis Manager to lead analysis for all Academy age groups. The role involves managing performance analysis staff, maintaining a video database, and using data-driven insights to support player development. Ideal candidates will have a strong football background, experience in performance analysis, and familiarity with Sportscode software. This is a full-time permanent position located at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in Lancing.

Qualifications

  • High level of football knowledge and previous experience in a performance analysis role within an academy environment.
  • Confident use of Sportscode software and Mac products.
  • Holder of a related degree in Sports Science or Performance Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis for all Academy age groups and teams.
  • Line-manage Academy Performance Analysis staff and ensure analysis needs of all Academy teams are met.
  • Maintain and update a video database of best practice clips.
  • Stay updated on all new technology and methodology related to video analysis.

Job Purpose

As Academy Performance Analysis Manager, you will lead analysis for all Academy age groups (U21 to U9), support player development and department progress, manage and update a video database of best practice clips, and keep the Academy at the forefront of performance analysis technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead analysis for all Academy age groups and teams.
  • Line‑manage Academy Performance Analysis staff and ensure analysis needs of all Academy teams are met.
  • Maintain and update a video database of best practice clips.
  • Stay updated on all new technology and methodology related to video analysis.
  • Support player development and department progress through data‑driven insights.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High level of football knowledge and previous experience in a performance analysis role within an academy environment.
