Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic to support line maintenance on the A400M fleet at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton. This role offers £40 per hour and involves performing aircraft maintenance tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and working effectively in a team. Candidates must have an aircraft standards-based qualification and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant field. This position runs until the end of 2025 with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have an aircraft standards-based qualification or related academic qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience is required.
• Candidates must hold a full UK passport and be eligible for Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft maintenance tasks as directed.
• Support other trades to ensure safe, effective working practices.
• Assist with aircraft manoeuvring and maintain clean working areas.

Skills

Aircraft standards-based qualification

Minimum 3 years’ experience

Good communication skills

Strong awareness of Aviation safety

Ability to operate a powerset

Education

Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3
