  • Duration: 3-6 months
  • Rate:£30.00 – £34.00 P/H

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Locum Paediatric Dietitian to join our team in Sutton, Carshalton. This Band 7 position is part-time, with a commitment of 7.5 hours per week during term time. This includes nutritional diagnosis through the interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometrics, clinical condition, and diet history.

What your responsibilities will be for this Dietetics role?

As a Band 7 Locum Paediatric Dietitian, you will independently manage a clinical caseload of children and young people, providing specialised dietary assessments and interventions in line with the service specification for Perseid Special Schools. You will deliver expert nutritional advice, interpreting clinical data to diagnose nutritional needs, and develop tailored treatment plans. Your responsibilities will include calculating nutritional requirements, setting client-centred goals, and prescribing appropriate dietary treatments and ACBS products. You will work closely with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective and evidence-based nutritional interventions. Prioritising and managing your workload efficiently to deliver high-quality care will be essential to this role.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Dietitian
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Proven experience in paediatric dietetics, particularly within special educational needs settings
  • Expertise in nutritional diagnosis and the development of individualised treatment plans
  • Experience in prescribing dietary treatments and ACBS products
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, parents/carers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
