Overview

7.5 TONNE DELIVERY DRIVERS WANTED - NEW PASSES ACCEPTED - FULL TIME - 12 WEEKS TEMP 2 PERM - IMMEDIATE START

Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Leeds. You will be delivering customers’ orders to their homes and office sites, working with a Driver’s Mate to support you on all deliveries. Route plans are put together for your daily work and your vehicle is pre‑loaded each morning.

The role is 12‑week temp to perm, with 5 days on and 3 days off on a rota basis, two 30‑minute breaks (morning and afternoon).

Responsibilities

• Lifting heavy items and completing a multi‑drop driving role
• Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
• Installing a range of various products for our customers
• Following a delivery route
• Pre‑calling customers before arrival
• Filling in paperwork as and when required
• Removing all packaging from each delivery

Qualifications

• Experience within a similar role
• A full Class C1 UK / EA licence with no more than six penalty points
• CPC card
• Tachograph card
• A passion for delivering great customer service
• The ability to handle heavy goods
• A clean DBS

Hours and Pay

The hours of work for the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, covering any 5 over Monday Sunday. You must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am – 6.15pm. The salary is £13.60 per hour, on a 12‑week temp to perm basis. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
