Job description
Responsibilities
  • Operate plant and machinery to assist with sorting waste within the waste transfer station (WTS) and any other duties required in the day‑to‑day running of the WTS as deemed necessary by a site supervisor/manager.
  • Carry out daily or weekly maintenance checks and tasks on the plant in use.
  • Sort waste and carry out tasks relating to WTS processes using allocated plant/machinery.
  • Carry out any other duties relating to the WTS requested by a supervisor/manager.
  • Accurately record working hours on timesheets and submit weekly.
  • Ensure training requirements are highlighted to line management, including legislative minimum requirements.
  • Conduct themselves in a manner that does not endanger themselves or others.
  • Conduct themselves professionally as an ambassador of Mick George Group.
Qualifications
  • Relevant plant operator licences.
  • Waste Transfer Station sorting experience.
  • Selector grab experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasks.
  • A proactive team member.
Desirable
  • Basic computer literacy (use of emails, etc).
Working Hours

Monday - Friday between 6am - 6pm, occasional Saturday work. Overtime available.

Dependent on experience, to be discussed.
