A governmental organization is seeking an Information Security/Project Officer in the North East Region to support compliance with Data Protection Legislation. The successful candidate will manage agreements, collaborate to develop a learning culture, and assist in various change management projects. This role involves regular travel across the region, focusing on improving operational processes and delivering change initiatives effectively.
The role of the information security/project officer is to support the Regional Information Security and Assurance Lead (RISAL) in ensuring the North East Probation Region achieves and maintains compliance with Data Protection Legislation. The successful candidate will manage preparation and collation of information sharing agreements and ensure these are in place regionally, therefore knowledge of information assurance and data protection act would be desirable. In addition, the role of Information Security/Project Officer will collaborate with services to develop a learning culture around information compliance, quality improvement and support all services within the North East Region. This is a regional role and the successful candidate will be required to travel within the North East Region.
The system change team will be part of the central DDC team but with a matrix line into the Divisional DD. They will deliver against an agreed national change programme. An initial priority will be ensuring integration between PS and CRC. In Wales these will include integration with Probation / Prisons and therefore solid line into HMPPS Wales.
The Project Officer role is responsible for assisting the System Change team in helping Deputy Directors to improve the planning and delivery of change programmes, with particular emphasis on continuous improvement and the increased effectiveness of operational processes between the PS and CRCs.
