111 Clinician Location: Several Locations including Ipswich / Norwich / Norfolk / Kent / East Sussex

Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible shifts

Contract: Locum / Agency

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced and motivated NHS 111 Clinicians to join our multidisciplinary team. You will use your clinical expertise to assess, triage, and provide advice to patients via telephone and digital platforms, supporting safe and effective care decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct remote clinical assessments using NHS Pathways and clinical judgement
  • Provide advice, reassurance, and signposting to appropriate services
  • Identify red flags and elevate care when required
  • Refer patients to primary care, urgent treatment centres, ED, or community services
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records
  • Work collaboratively with health advisors, clinicians, and service partners
  • Contribute to service quality, governance, and patient safety
Person Specification Essential
  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC / HCPC / GMC)
  • Post-registration clinical experience
  • Excellent communication and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment
  • Competent IT skills
  • Previous experience in 111
  • Experience using NHS Pathways or similar triage systems
  • Experience in remote or telephone‑based consultations
