Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in South Liverpool.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support or working with small groups of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally in a nurturing school environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual learning styles.
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised support plans.
Encourage social interaction, build confidence, and promote positive behaviour.
We are looking for someone who has:
A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above).
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.
A solid understanding of how to support the learning and development of primary‑aged children.
Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach.
