Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support

Location: Blandford Forum
Working Pattern: Term time only, Monday to Friday
Hours: Between 8.30am – 4pm
Pay: £90 – £100 per day (weekly pay)

Axcis Education is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding SEN school in Blandford Forum, providing 1:1 support to children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a range of complex needs. This rewarding role offers the chance to provide consistency, encouragement and tailored support, helping each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The school delivers a well-established programme of specialist education and access to comprehensive clinical and therapeutic services.

Role
  • Provide personalised 1:1 support to help students remain focused, engaged, and motivated
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering creative, individualised learning activities
  • Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development with consistent guidance
  • Promote progress in communication, independence, social interaction, and self-care
  • Help maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver a trauma-informed, holistic approach
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to create a safe, nurturing atmosphere

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
