Job summary

A reputable education agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work with a Reception child with specific educational needs. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the child in accessing the curriculum while managing behavioural challenges. Qualifications

  • Confident in communicating with the SENCO, leadership team, and parents.
  • Meticulous with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities

  • Complete IEPs to ensure accomplishments are recorded.

Overview

Do you enjoy working on a one to one basis with children with specific educational needs? Aspire People are looking to recruit a teaching assistant for Reception 1:1 child with lower level ability.

Responsibilities

Work full time supporting a child with behavioural difficulties and lower level disruption, engaging them and keeping them on task within the classroom to access the curriculum.

Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification minimum
  • Long term experience of working with children on a one to one basis (an academic term or more)
  • SEN experience covering Autism and lower level ability
  • Able to communicate and build rapport with the children you support
  • Confident in communicating with the SENCO, leadership team and parents
  • Passionate about working with SEN children & dedicated to helping them thrive and achieve targets set in line with their individual education plan's (IEP)
  • Meticulous when it comes to completing IEP's to ensure everything is covered and the child's accomplishments are recorded and rewarded
