1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant - College Aged Student (ASAP Start)

Location: Manningtree (and surrounding areas)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: £100-120 per day
Driving licence & own vehicle essential

A supportive and forward-thinking education provider is seeking a 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant to work with a college-aged student with ASD and a history of mental health challenges, including eating disorders and negative body image. This is a highly rewarding role that focuses on helping the student access the activities they enjoy, build confidence, and engage with the community in a positive, structured way.

About the Role

This is not a classroom-based position. Instead, the LSA will support the student to access their hobbies, interests and wellbeing-focused activities, which may include:

  • Hair, beauty and makeup sessions
  • Outdoor walks and nature-based activities
  • Fitness and gym sessions
  • Pilates and other structured exercise
  • Community-based sessions linked to personal development

The aim is to provide calm, consistent, person-centred support to help the student develop independence, confidence and emotional stability.

Key Details
  • 8:30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • ASAP start
  • Role involves regular local travel; therefore, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential
  • Mileage and the cost of adding business insurance will be covered
  • The student is Manningtree-based, so proximity or easy commute is preferred
