Overview

Role: 1:1 LSA

Contract: Fixed Term until 22 July 2027, 39 weeks per year

Hours: 16.25 Hours

Salary: Scale 3, Point 5-6 £25,583 - £25,989 FTE (Actual Salary £9,374 - £9,523 per annum)

Closing Date: 29 September at 12pm Midday

Responsibilities
  • Support a pupil on a 1 to 1 basis and also work with small groups in the classroom setting.
  • Work 5 days a week (16.25 hours) Monday to Friday: 8.45am - 12.00pm.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to support learning in line with the National Curriculum.
Candidate requirements
  • Experience of supporting children in a school setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Able to support the child\'s medical needs and willing to deal with intimate care needs
  • Knowledge of successful strategies to engage pupils with specific and significant needs
  • Patience, calmness and flexibility at all times
  • A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves
  • Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills
  • Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent; good ICT knowledge
  • Flexibility and a good sense of humour
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Willing to undertake training and support individual needs
