We’re looking for a preferably Spanish speaker, or someone with (basic) knowledge of the language, who is interested in contributing to the development of an authentic, relevant expression of church in Valencia, Spain’s third largest city.

The role involves working within a multicultural team, developing partnerships with churches, ministries, and NGOs, casting vision for church growth and multiplication, and engaging in the daily rhythms of community life (both church and neighborhood). We seek someone who is a committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong commitment to the mission and values of Communitas. Ideally, we prefer someone willing to invest long-term in this position, but we are open to shorter-term commitments as well.

• Full-time or bi-vocational
• Church planting experience preferred
• Experience working in a team preferred
• Authentic and transparent about personal brokenness and healing
• Proactive rather than reactive
• Committed to lifelong learning and a growing walk with Christ

• Active involvement in a local church and evidence of spiritual maturity
• A self-starter capable of remote work and project management
• Social media and web experience is a plus
• Flexible and adaptable to changing environments and challenges
• Creative thinker
• Artistic skills are a benefit
• Enjoys living in a place with over 300 days of sunshine per year

The salary and ministry expenses are funded through personal support raising. Self-employed or bi-vocational team members are welcome. Applicants will undergo the Communitas Missionary Candidate Process, including fundraising if necessary and orientation before starting. A funding plan will be provided during deputation.
