A leading financial technology firm in Paris seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to enhance the user experience of their platform. You will be responsible for building and refining core workflows in a Vue3 application, making it fast and simple for users. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of strong frontend experience, a deep understanding of Typescript, and proficiency in Vue3 or similar frameworks. This role involves collaborating closely with product and design teams to create efficient and delightful user interfaces.
At Payflows, we give finance teams the tools to reclaim their time and energy. Our platform weaves together banking connectivity, payments, AI, and procurement so they can ditch the busywork and focus on what really moves the needle.
We’re a small, experienced team who’ve earned our stripes at Airbnb, Luko, BNP Paribas, and Facebook. It’s not always easy—things move fast, and we expect a lot—but if you’re hungry for impact, you’ll find it here.
🛠️ We’re builders at heart. We move fast, think deeply, ship often — and we’re always hungry to learn more. You'll collaborate closely with customer, product, tech and design to craft elegant, high-performance UI that scales with our company
Payflows is only useful if it feels fast, obvious, and reliable for the people using it every day.
As a SeniorFrontend Engineer, you’re the one who makes that experience shine:
You take messy finance workflows (POs, vendor onboarding, approvals, treasury views…)
And turn them into simple, robust, delightful interfaces that reduce cognitive load and speed up decision-making.
You care about both how it looks and how it behaves in production (latency, errors, edge cases).
This is a role for someone who loves building tools people use all day long and cares about UI performance, clarity, and smooth interactions.
Own Key Frontend Workflows End-to-End
Build and refine core product flows in our Vue3 web app.
Craft polished UIs from prototype to production: state management, components, loading states, error handling, and UX refinement.
Work closely with product & design to simplify forms, dashboards, and navigation.
Make the Product Feel Fast & Simple
Hunt down bottlenecks — unnecessary queries, slow renders, heavy components — and remove them.
Improve perceived speed: skeletons, optimistic UI, caching, and clean state transitions.
Reduce complexity in workflows for power users.
Ship Features Across Surfaces
Implement web UI for desktop-heavy financial workflows.
Support Slack/Teams experiences where frontend integration is required.
Collaborate with backend engineers to define API shapes that make UI simple and predictable.
Raise the Bar on Quality & Observability
Add automated tests where they matter (unit, integration, critical flows).
Track errors and real-world behavior via Sentry and custom metrics.
Help maintain a consistent UI design system and reusable frontend architecture.
Collaborate, Document & Share Context
Work with founders, PMs, and other engineers to define the right solution early.
Write concise RFCs and UI/UX proposals others can follow.
Collaborate with teammates through reviews, pairing, and clear feedback.
Experience building and maintaining production web applications (bonus for B2B or data-heavy tools).
Excellent knowledge of modern Typescript.
Deep experience in Vue3 or another major framework (React, Svelte, Angular).
Comfortable designing reusable components, state management patterns, and scalable UI architecture.
Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and complex forms/dashboards.
You think about loading states, empty states, failure states, accessibility, and rendering efficiency.
You know how to measure UI performance and improve it.
Familiar with how frontend apps run in production (build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, AWS/cloud basics).
You don’t need to be DevOps, but you understand deployments, environments, and error monitoring.
You naturally think about testing strategy, logging, analytics, and safe rollouts.
You’re comfortable challenging ideas and being challenged — always in service of building the best product.
