Job summary

Doctolib in Paris is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Database Optimisation team, focusing on reliability, availability and performance of production databases.

You will design, build and maintain core infrastructure databases, automate deployment, scaling and maintenance, and collaborate with DBAs, Principal Engineers and other SREs to keep services robust. Permanent role with a competitive package; start ASAP and hybrid Paris office.

Qualifications

• 6+ years on production platform, preferably at scale.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on with datastores such as PostgreSQL / Kafka / Couchbase.
• Proficiency in programming languages and IaC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain core infrastructure databases enabling Doctolib to scale to hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of databases to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response to pre-empt issues.
• Provide tooling to empower feature teams while ensuring reliability.
• Mitigate production database issues during working hours when needed.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to improve reliability.
