Job summary

Doctolib GmbH is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to maintain and optimize production database systems and support the rapid growth of services. You will collaborate with a team of developers, DBAs and SREs to ensure reliability, availability and performance of databases.

As part of the Database Optimization team, you will automate deployments, scale databases and improve monitoring, incident response, and tooling for feature teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on experience on a production platform, ideally at scale.

Responsibilities

• Improve and protect health of datastores.
• Empower tech teams to use datastores efficiently.
• Collaborate with Database Architects, Principal Engineers and SREs across teams.
• Design, build and maintain core infrastructure databases to scale to hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
• Automate deployment, scaling and maintenance of databases to improve reliability.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response to preempt issues.
• Provide documentation and tooling to empower feature teams while ensuring reliability.
• Mitigate production database issues during working hours.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and best practices to improve reliability and availability.
