Job summary

Doctolib is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our databases. You will design, build and maintain core infrastructure databases to scale for hundreds of thousands of concurrent users, and automate deployment, monitoring and incident response.

You will collaborate with Database Architects, Principal Engineers and other SREs while empowering feature teams with robust database tooling and documentation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on production platform experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
• Experience with datastores PostgreSQL, Kafka and Couchbase.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Ruby, Python, Go, Java).
• F luent in English.

Responsibilities

• Improve and protect the health of datastores.
• Empower tech teams to use datastores efficiently.
• Collaborate with Database Architects and SREs across teams.
• Design, build and maintain core infrastructure databases for scaling.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of databases.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Provide tooling to enable teams while ensuring reliability.
• Mitigate production database issues during working hours when needed.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and best practices.
