Doctolib is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our database systems. You will design, build, and maintain core infrastructure databases to scale to hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.

You will automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of databases, implement monitoring and incident response, and provide tooling and docs to empower the product teams while collaborating with DB architects and fellow engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on experience on a production platform.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Proven experience with datastores such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, or Couchbase.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Ruby, Python, Go, Java, etc.).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code principles.

Responsabilités

• Improve and protect the health of our datastores.
• Empower tech teams to use datastores efficiently.
• Collaborate daily with Database Architects, Principal Engineers and SREs from other teams.
• Design, build and maintain core infrastructure databases to scale for hundreds of thousands of users.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of databases for reliability.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
• Provide tooling and documentation to empower feature teams.
• Mitigate production database issues during on-call hours.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to improve reliability and availability.
