The Role

As aSales Development Representative (SDR), you are the first human touchpoint for prospects evaluating STARLIMS. Your primary focus is rapidly responding to inbound leads (target: under 5 minutes) via phone and email, discovering whether they havea real businessneed for LIMS, and booking high-quality meetings for our Account Executives.

This is a high-activity, high-learning role whereyou’llbe speaking with lab managers, quality leaders, IT stakeholders, and other technical buyers. Your job is not to “hard sell” but to qualify, educate, and smoothly hand off interested prospects to the sales team.

  • Rapidly respond to leadsvia phone and e‑mail andassistprospects during theearly stagesof the evaluation process
  • Qualify inbound and source outbound leadsby researching accounts,identifyingkey players, and generating interest
  • Book meetings for our sales team, and ensure a smooth handover of prospects and customers
  • Meet and exceed monthly quotato ensure pipelineobjectivesandsubmitpipeline commits on a weekly basis
  • Understand the STARLIMS value proposition, our market and industry, and our buyer, using that to have better customer communications
  • Resilience and Adaptability:need to pivot messaging quickly based real‑time market feedback and competitor shifts.
  • Capture and communicate customer requirements, both from technical and non-technical buyers
  • Add andmaintainaccurateCRM records, including call notes, next steps, and customer communications so sales reps are ready for the next meeting
  • Provide feedback to sales and marketing leadership,SAinducing customer priorities, pain points, and needs
  • Leverage social media to connect_PIN prospects and advance deal cycles.
What Success Looks Like (First 1–6 Months)

1 month:

  • You can confidently explain what LIMS are and the problems STARLIMS solves
  • You consistently respond to inbound leads in the agreed SLA and follow the qualification process
  • You’re booking your first meetings that convert into qualified opportunities
  • You’re reliably hitting or exceeding your meeting and pipeline targets
  • AEs and Sales Leadership trust your qualification and love the quality of your handovers
  • You’re comfortable speaking with technical stakeholders and asking probing business questions
  • You’re a go‑to person on the team for best practices in inbound follow‑up
  • You’re actively building a path toward promotion (e.g., Senior SDR or AE) and taking on stretch projects
About You
  • US-based
  • 1-2 Years Lead qualification/ SDR or Sales Experience
  • Passion for sales and desire to advance in role
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience interacting with customers and prospects
  • Hard worker and willing to achieve a high volume of daily activities while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Enthusiastic and “self-starter” approach
  • Native proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce and Hubspot
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, as well as AI tools.
  • Technical aptitude and curiosity for innovation
  • 4‑year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
