A local government agency is seeking a Recreation Specialist for animal care at Farrel-McWhirter Farm in Pays de la Loire, France. The role involves assisting with tasks such as feeding and grooming livestock, maintaining farm facilities, and supporting equestrian programs. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma and some experience with animals. This position is supplemental and does not provide benefits. Candidates must be able to handle physical tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Scheduled annual hours are limited to 1,040 hours per calendar year. Hours and schedule may vary and cannot exceed 29 hours per week.
The Recreation Specialist – Farm (Supplemental) will assist with basic animal care for the equine and livestock at Farrel-McWhirter Farm. This can include but is not limited to such work at the parks facility as feeding, grooming, handling, first aid and routine health maintenance. The position will also clean animal living areas such as pens, stalls, and cages. Routine maintenance of Farm, office buildings, and barnyard will be required. Communicates Farm and park policies and program information to the public. May support programs as needed, such as teaching equestrian classes.
