YOUR ROLE

As a Principal Engineer, you are a senior individual contributor operating at the highest technical level within our organization. You’ll work across engineering teams to define architectural vision, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure we build scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Strategy & Architecture

Design and evolve the company’s core architecture and system design at scale.

Drive key engineering initiatives involving scalability, observability, performance, and security.

Provide hands‑on technical leadership on strategic projects, ensuring quality and sustainability.

Evaluate and integrate new technologies or paradigms aligned with product and business goals.

2. Cross‑Team Technical Leadership

Act as a trusted advisor to Engineering Managers, Staff Engineers, and Product teams.

Lead architectural reviews, RFC processes, and promote technical excellence across squads.

Identify and resolve systemic technical issues affecting multiple teams or domains.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and knowledge sharing.

3. Mentorship & Influence

Mentor senior engineers, foster engineering craftsmanship and architectural thinking.

Create alignment across teams on design principles, tooling, and long‑term technical direction.

Promote engineering culture internally and externally (e.g., tech talks, blog posts, conferences).

YOUR PROFILE

10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong track record in system design, architecture, and large‑scale delivery.

Proven experience leading cross‑functional technical initiatives with measurable impact.

Deep expertise in one or more of the following : distributed systems, data platforms, security, cloud infrastructure, backend engineering

Strong architectural intuition combined with pragmatism—able to balance short‑term priorities with long‑term sustainability.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Languages required : French, fluent English, other languages appreciated
