A healthcare facility is seeking a Maintenance Worker 1 to oversee building systems and perform preventative maintenance. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of maintenance experience, be bilingual in English and French, and possess a valid driver's license. The position requires a high level of initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate various mechanical equipment. Reporting to the Lead - Physical Plant Services or designate, the Maintenance Worker 1 is responsible for monitoring building and medical related systems and additional the incumbent also responds to demand work orders and performs preventative maintenance on facility related equipment. The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health‑Santé Sud.
