Job summary

Prelude is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive growth by engaging a wide range of prospects and fueling a steady pipeline of qualified leads. You will partner with AEs and fellow BDRs to own the lifecycle of smaller deals, from discovery to closure.

You will reach out to procurement managers, engineers and executives, using multiple channels and tools, while maintaining CRM hygiene and hitting performance metrics in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of BDR or sales experience in selling a technical product at a startup, scale-up or SaaS company.
• Ability to handle cold outreach and outbound prospecting with persistence.
• Solid understanding of qualification fundamentals and pipeline hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Generate new sales opportunities for Prelude.
• Identify target companies and people within verticals/territories.
• Cold call and email prospects; test other channels for leads.
• Qualify leads and articulate Prelude's value proposition.
• Close smaller deals independently and manage CRM entries.
• Improve processes as the business scales.
