The Opportunity

The role of Field Service Engineer sits within our Protein business and is dedicated to servicing our customers 24/7, including assembly, maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting and supporting new projects. Reporting to our Aftermarket Service Manager, you will work with colleagues based in Scotland and Sweden, serving customers across all of our protein machinery. On a typical day you may: provide site support using your electrical and mechanical skills; manage installations, provide service and visit reports and technical support for our machinery; advise customers on maintenance, spare parts and upgrades; identify trends with machinery and share these with your manager; train customers on maintenance, operation, safety and cleaning of the machinery; work with our aftermarket team to implement aftermarket activities; identify additional machinery and/or services we could provide to customers and share these with our sales team so they can act quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Provide site support using Electrical & Mechanical skills
  • Manage installations, service visits, reports and technical support for machinery
  • Advise customers on maintenance, spare parts and upgrades
  • Identify trends with machinery and communicate findings to management
  • Train customers on maintenance, operation, safety and cleaning of the machinery
  • Collaborate with the aftermarket team to implement aftermarket activities
  • Identify potential additional machinery or services and share with the sales team
Qualifications
  • 5 years' experience in machine servicing (candidates with less experience will be considered)
  • BTS maintenance industrielle is a great qualification
  • Knowledge of food industry equipment (freezers, fryers, ovens, processing lines) is a bonus
  • PLC knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley, MOVEX; familiarity with SalesForce and Word/Excel
  • Flexibility to travel and to work flexible hours – minimum of 24 weekends per year (Sat/Sun)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in French and English (fluent French required for this role)
Travel & Location

This role is remote and can be located in any of, or between, the following areas in France: Le Havre, Paris, Brittany, Saint-Nazaire and Nantes, due to the geographic location of our customers.
