Overview

Job Description Summary: We are seeking an EMEA Customer Trainer, Lab Automation to deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops for BD Kiestra Lab Automation Solutions and BD Synapsys across the Diagnostic Solutions portfolio. This role will ensure customers are fully trained, supported, and empowered to successfully implement and optimize BD solutions. It is a field-based role within EMEA, requiring up to 75% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver preparatory workshops and technical demonstrations to ensure customer readiness prior to solution installation.
  • Support system implementation, configuration, and LIS/workflow connectivity testing in alignment with project deliverables.
  • Conduct and customize customer training plans, applying a “train-the-trainer” approach to empower key users.
  • Provide post-installation support during clinical validation, go-live, and solution adoption phases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Solution Design, Informatics, Technical Services, and Sales teams for project execution.
  • Assist with solution configuration, testing, and troubleshooting workflow-related issues.
  • Support customer workflow optimization initiatives and contribute to internal continuous improvement.
  • Provide structured feedback to the Customer Trainer Manager to enhance training content and align with evolving customer needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical, or other relevant technical areas preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in microbiology laboratory settings and/or strong knowledge of microbiology workflows.
  • Proficient in English; additional European language skills are a strong advantage.
  • Basic understanding of IT architecture and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) integration.
  • Strong training, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to adapt training to diverse knowledge levels.
  • Flexibility to travel extensively across EMEA (up to 75% of the time).
