This position requires a qualified Captain with experience on one or more of the following rivers: Danube, Dutch and Belgian rivers, Rhine, Main and Moselle, Seine, Rhône, and Saône.

Qualifications include:

• River patent (A or B)
• Radar and radio certification for the respective areas of operation
• Fluency in German for navigation purposes
• Fluency in English for communication with guests and crew
• Leadership and team management skills
• Strong social skills and customer interaction abilities
• Organized, dependable, with a high sense of responsibility

Roles and responsibilities include ensuring safety, managing daily operations, supervising nautical and safety matters, guest interaction, staff training, and compliance with legal and company standards. Additional tasks involve winter repairs, safety drills, and incident reporting.
