What You’ll Be Doing

Pre-event, you will :
- Provide day-to-day support for athlete enquiries, including responding to emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the creation and updating of event guides, including athlete guides and staff manuals.
- Assist the team with website updates and monitor athlete registrations to ensure accuracy and consistency of information.
- Coordinate with the Athlete Services Manager and the design team on the creation of athlete communication materials.
- Work closely with the Athlete Services Leads to support the preparation, coordination and execution of operations for two assigned events (orders, inventory tracking, logistics and resource planning).
- Lead specific projects on two designated events, taking ownership and responsibility for their successful delivery.
- Support the Athlete Services team across all French and Belgian events for athlete services–related tasks.
- Assist in the coordination of Athlete Services operations for licensee events.
Onsite, you will :
- Coordinate and supervise volunteers on site.
- Work closely with the Athlete Services Lead to deliver excellent athlete experience at registration, information point and ceremonies.
- Support the delivery of the Awards Ceremony and Slot Allocation Ceremony.
- Provide direct support to athletes on race day and assist in ensuring proper race clearance.
- Complete post-event tasks, including managing timing disputes and results issues, handling athlete complaints, and overseeing lost property.

Qualification :
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just tick boxes, but thrives in our fast-paced, global environment. Ideally, you :
- Have a degree, ideally in sport or event management, sports science, or the endurance / event industry.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in French and professional working proficiency in English.
- Have previous experience working in the sports events field.
- Have a strong interest in customer service and the human side of sports events.
- Have strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Have working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and an interest or aptitude for design and visual content creation.
- Are autonomous, flexible, reliable, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Are available to travel and work on-site at IRONMAN Southwest events, including weekends.
