Area Sales Manager – Spain, Italy & Latam

Function

Developing Business, expanding markets and fuelling revenue:

  1. You identify and acquire new customers, uncover and develop new business opportunities, and convert them into profitable commercial success.
  2. You manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals ensuring sustainable revenue growth while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients; you manage your own portfolio.
  3. Together with the sales team, you define and execute market strategies for each of your assigned countries to increase revenue and market share.
  4. You consult with your customers, proactively think along with them, and translate their needs and requirements into tailored spot-on Value Propositions; you negotiate and close profitable deals with them with the support of the colleagues from the sales team.
  5. You build and maintain lasting relationships with dealers, distributors, and agents, working closely with them to expand your sales network.
  6. You oversee contract execution and ensure follow-up in close cooperation with cross-functional teams.
  7. Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events, acting as an ambassador of the company.
  8. You report directly to the Operations Manager of the Italian BU, providing insights on sales performance and market developments.
Profile

Job requirements:

  1. 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in industrial automation systems for fresh produce or food processing machinery.
  2. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Technology, Ag Tech, Horticulture, or related field - or equivalent experience.
  3. Demonstrable affinity with technology or machine construction; knowledge of the fruit and vegetable sector is an asset.
  4. Excellent MS Office skills; experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) would be great.
  5. Fluent in Spanish and Italian. Professional command of English; other European languages are a plus.

  2. Strong listening and communication skills, able to provide appropriate solutions in consultation with clients and colleagues.

  4. At ease in giving commercial and technical presentations.

Location

Based at the Italian headquarters in Cesena, frequently traveling to the assigned market areas.
