In 8 years, Bridge has grown to a team of more than 50 people from nearly 25 nationalities, with headquarters in Madrid, where most of our team is based; an emerging LatAm HQ in Antigua, Guatemala, with a few team members; and a few people based in different places around the world.

JOB MISSION

The Program Director is a strategic leader responsible for optimizing program execution while aligning with broader business objectives. This role oversees the design, implementation, and impact of programs primarily operated from Europe, ensuring financial and operational excellence. The Program Director will lead cross-functional teams, enhance program implementation, and monitor financial and impact performance. Additionally, this role will support sales collaboration, business strategy, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Head of Programs, the Program Director will be based in Madrid, Spain.

ROLES & CONTRIBUTIONS

Program Strategy & Performance

  • Provide strategic guidance to Sr. Program Managers, and when needed to Program Managers, to ensure high-quality program delivery and alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard program success.
  • Ensure cohesive program execution by leveraging local market insights and aligning regional priorities.
  • Monitor program health, key performance indicators (KPIs), and impact metrics to drive data-informed improvements.
  • Consolidate learnings over program performance and impact. Use programming’s MEL to raise insights that can contribute to strategic and tactical decisions that influence business strategy in the program and sales teams or other areas (e.g.; product).
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration between program management, sales, marketing, and impact strategy teams.
  • Support sales teams in drafting proposals, including technical inputs, resource allocation, and budget planning.
  • Represent programs in Spain & Europe, ensuring alignment with company strategy and market opportunities.
  • Oversee the financial performance of program portfolios, ensuring transparency, efficient resource allocation, and the enhancement of budget tracking tools.

People Leadership & Development

  • Establish accountability frameworks to ensure team performance, growth, and alignment with the organization's vision. Lead and mentor Program Managers, partners, and consultants, fostering cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Drive performance management processes, including goal-setting, 360-degree evaluations, salary reviews, and internal mobility discussions.
  • Contribute to strategic leadership discussions on team structure, resource allocation, and talent development.
  • Support onboarding and training for new Program Managers, ensuring a structured knowledge transfer process.
  • Play a key role in talent acquisition, contributing to job description development, business case evaluations, and technical interviews.
  • Identify team skill gaps and strengths to enhance program execution and organizational impact.

Stakeholder Management

  • Guide Program Managers in transforming client relationships from service-based engagements to strategic partnerships.
  • Oversee key client accounts, ensuring strong relationship management, program alignment with client objectives, and contract renewals.
  • Support financial and impact reporting for major clients to enhance transparency and accountability.
  • Represent programs in Spain & Europe, ensuring strong market positioning and engagement with key ecosystem stakeholders.

Market Insight & Development

  • Utilize deep knowledge of the European entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a particular focus on Spain, to identify opportunities and address challenges.
  • Develop and implement tailored market strategies for priority regions across Europe. Leverage industry insights to position the organization as a leader in entrepreneurial support and impact-driven initiatives.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, International Development/Relations, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, Entrepreneurship, or business consulting.
  • Strong background in entrepreneurial support programs, ecosystem development, or impact-driven initiatives.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, program budgeting, and ideally impact measurement.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing entrepreneurial support programs.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional and regional teams.
  • Ability to develop program strategies, risk mitigation plans, and performance tracking systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in client relationship management.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with a strategic mindset. Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments with high adaptability.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (additional European languages are a plus).
  • Knowledge of the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem and experience working internationally.

OFFER AND LOCATION

Transparent salaries and fair compensation structure, mid-range for the social sector:

  • Compensation of 38,000€ - 42,000€ per year, depending on profile (gross salary).
  • Location: Madrid, Spain.
  • Start date: As soon as we find the right person.
  • Position type: Full-time.
  • Type of contract: Full-time employee with the SL.
