IO Interactive - Technical Producer

IO Interactive is looking for a skilled Technical Producer to join our Backbone Technology team in Barcelona or Malmo. This team develops and maintains all the technology used in our games, including the engine, editors, tools, and online systems.

Exceptional collaboration skills are essential, as this role requires close cooperation with the Backbone and Game Management teams and Leads to ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects. Additionally, this person should inspire and motivate a talented team of programmers and engineers.

What you will do

• Act as the liaison between the tech team and the game management group, working closely with Backbone's management team.
• Align and monitor the tech team's objectives to support project priorities and requirements, in coordination with the Backbone's Executive Producer and Technical Director.
• Engage in long-term planning and upkeep of the technology backlog, in collaboration with Backbone's Technical Director.
• Manage short-term planning and track goals within the tech team, in alignment with the team Leads.
• Oversee, coordinate, and validate builds and branches, ensuring they align with game timelines and milestones.
• Implement risk management strategies.
• Track memory budget and performance at all production levels.
• Participate in the interview process for potential team members.
• Involve in the performance review process for existing employees.
• Identify workflow enhancements and production optimizations.
• Monitor and track TCR/TRC requirements and other external technical certification requirements.
• Coordinate requirements with external middleware providers.

Who you are

• Profound knowledge of project management methods and software.
• Good understanding of software development practices.
• Knowledge of system integration and version control.
• Experience with defect tracking methods.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral.
• Conflict resolution skills.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Producer in software development.
