We are looking for a motivated Technical Office Engineer / Architect for Finishing Works to join our Finishing Works Department for an exciting large-scale construction project in Barcelona.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic international team and contribute to one of the most significant structural works currently underway in the city.

The Technical Office Engineer / Architect for Finishing Works will support the site and project teams in the planning, coordination, and execution of finishing activities.

This role involves reviewing technical documentation, preparing reports, coordinating with subcontractors, supporting material approvals, and ensuring that all finishing works are carried out according to project specifications.

The position requires strong technical knowledge of architectural and finishing trades, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.

Keys Responsibilities
  • Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to finishing works.
  • Prepare technical reports, method statements, and documentation required for inspections and approvals.
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure the correct implementation of finishing activities.
  • Assist in the preparation and follow-up of material submissions, samples, and approvals.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues by liaising with design teams when necessary.
  • Monitor progress of finishing works and report deviations, risks, and required corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized documentation, including drawings, RFIs, NCRs, and inspection records.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project standards and quality requirements.
  • Participate in inspections and ensure that works meet quality and project specifications.
  • Support project planning by providing technical input and tracking finishing-related tasks.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in technical office roles within construction projects, preferably involving finishing works.
  • Strong understanding of architectural trades (drywall, flooring, ceilings, painting, joinery, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
