A leading international distributor of food ingredients is seeking a Technical Sales and Product Manager based in Barcelona or Madrid. The role involves selling food ingredients, sourcing products, and managing customer relationships within the food industry, requiring strong communication and negotiation skills. Candidates should have a degree in Food Technology or Chemistry and a passion for food product development.

Formación

  • Degree in Food Technology or Chemistry (must-have).
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Very organized, reliable, and with a positive attitude.

We are looking for a:

Technical Sales and Product Manager Food Ingredients

You will sell Food Ingredients to the Food Industry.

You will source Food Ingredients from our suppliers.

  • Sales area: Central part of Spain
  • The position will be office-based in Madrid or Barcelona, with 6 days of home office possible; the rest of the time, you will visit clients.
  • The main target is visiting clients.
  • Our client is an international Ingredients distributor.
  • You should have at least 5 years of sales experience in Food Ingredients / Non-FMCG products.

The job primarily involves expanding business with existing customers and exploring new markets and customers in the food sector in Spain.

Tasks

  • Knowledge of industrial food customers in Spain.
  • Technical and commercial knowledge of cereals in all their forms, grains, flours, flakes, etc., is an asset.
  • Customer & supplier relationship management: establishing and maintaining relationships.
  • Portfolio management: identifying opportunities and supplementing missing product/solution offerings.
  • Market & Competition: conducting market analyses to understand needs, assess competition, and identify opportunities. Acting as Product Manager for various product ranges and/or suppliers, managing relationships and purchases.
  • Negotiating with suppliers.

Requirements

  • Degree in Food Technology / Food Chemistry (must-have).
  • Ability to solve technological problems and passion for food product development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • High willingness to travel.
  • Very organized, reliable, positive attitude.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Valid driving license.
