Formación

Senior Tax Compliance Specialist

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 40 hours, hybrid

Contract : Permanent, full time

Languages : Spanish and English

We are looking for a Senior Tax Compliance Specialist to join our Tax team in Madrid (hybrid).

In this role, you will manage the tax compliance of an assigned client portfolio, supervise junior team members, and support cross-functional departments with tax expertise.

Some of the things you will be doing include:

  • Review, analyse, and submit tax returns (VAT, CIT, withholdings).
  • Ensure full compliance of client portfolios, including deadlines and regulatory obligations.
  • Provide tax guidance to Accounting and Legal teams.
  • Prepare and review tax compliance reports and billing information.
  • Manage workload distribution, train new team members, and support performance reviews.
  • Identify and resolve complex tax issues; ensure adherence to local regulations.
  • Maintain client registry information and oversee tax-related risks.
  • Collaborate with auditors, advisors, and clients; attend meetings when needed.
  • Produce clear, concise tax and financial documentation.
Skills & Qualifications

5–7 years of proven experience in Tax Compliance or similar tax-related roles, ideally within a multinational or professional services environment.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax Law, or a related discipline with strong specialization in taxation.

Fluent in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid business acumen and an in-depth understanding of local tax and regulatory frameworks.

Excellent communication abilities, capable of explaining complex tax and financial concepts in a clear, structured, and accessible manner.

Demonstrated leadership qualities, showing proactivity, resilience, curiosity, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
