We are looking for a Senior Tax Compliance Specialist to join our Tax team in Madrid (hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Review, analyse, and submit tax returns (VAT, CIT, withholdings).
• Ensure full compliance of client portfolios, including deadlines and regulatory obligations.
• Provide tax guidance to Accounting and Legal teams.
• Prepare and review tax compliance reports and billing information.
• Manage workload distribution, train new team members, and support performance reviews.
• Identify and resolve complex tax issues; ensure adherence to local regulations.
• Maintain client registry information and oversee tax-related risks.
• Collaborate with auditors, advisors, and clients; attend meetings when needed.
• Produce clear, concise tax and financial documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5–7 years of proven experience in Tax Compliance or similar tax-related roles, ideally within a multinational or professional services environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax Law, or a related discipline with strong specialization in taxation.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid business acumen and an in-depth understanding of local tax and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication abilities, capable of explaining complex tax and financial concepts in a clear, structured, and accessible manner.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, showing proactivity, resilience, curiosity, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
