Your Role

Senior Legal Counsel Spanish, French and English speaking

We are a global leader in providing information management systems. On cloud and off-cloud, our solutions span a wide range of software and associated services, enabling our customers to optimize the use of their information by managing the lifecycle, distribution, and use of information across their organization, from capture through to archiving and disposal.

Responsibilities

• Drafting in Spanish, French, and English and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including cloud, license, and professional service contracts across a wide range of software offerings
• Providing dedicated legal support to sales teams based in Southern Europe (France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal), helping them to close deals in a quarter-driven environment
• Working as part of the global legal team on initiatives to improve legal provision across OpenText
• Building positive working relationships with stakeholders across the business to obtain up-to-date information and provide effective negotiation solutions
• Developing knowledge of the business to support it effectively
• Handling general corporate matters, resolving commercial disputes, and addressing data protection considerations

What You Need To Succeed

• Advanced / native fluency in Spanish, French, and English; ability to draft and negotiate contracts in those languages
• At least 12 years’ post-qualified experience
• Flexibility to move from private practice or to be in-house
• Commercial mindset, eagerness to learn about the business, and ability to integrate as a key part of it
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, and team-oriented
• Ability to manage a personal workload confidently, flexibly and professionally
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide commercially focused advice in time-sensitive environments
