What impact you'll make

As a Lead Project Manager Grid Systems Integration (GSI) of the Grid Systems Integration team within Grid Solutions Electrification you will be an active contributor to the successful delivery of turnkey substation projects and the advancement of electrification initiatives for global customers.

Grid Systems Integration (GSI) is part of Grid Solutions Electrification business within GE Vernova and designs and installs innovative turnkey substations. Our services cover the entire project lifecycle from substation definition to delivery, including solution design, network analysis, engineering, procurement, civil works, installation, testing, commissioning, and asset management.

Job Description
  • Manage end‑to‑end turnkey substation projects, including planning, execution, and final acceptance.
  • Lead cross‑functional project teams across engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third‑party vendors to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
  • Oversee factory site and construction activities, ensuring compliance with design schedule, quality, and EHS standards.
  • Monitor project progress proactively, manage risks, issues, and change orders, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage project budgets, contract administration, and variations, liaising with legal and commercial teams as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to GE Vernova processes, safety, integrity and core values throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support tendering, sales, and lessons‑learned processes, contributing to continuous improvement and future project execution.
What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) with relevant Project Management experience.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits during project execution and other business purposes.
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure, meet tight timelines, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and manage project scope, resources, budgets, and risks while ensuring high‑quality standards.
  • Excellent English and Spanish (oral and written) with strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Valid EU work permit.
What will make you stand out
  • Knowledge of Grid Products (GIS, AIS, Power Transformers, Protection Relays, Automation & Control).
  • Preferably based in Madrid or surrounding areas.
