A leading outdoor apparel company is seeking a Key Account Manager for the Iberia region to drive sales and develop strategic relationships with key accounts in Spain. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in wholesale and retail sales, particularly within the outdoor and apparel sectors, alongside a strong background in digital account management. Formación

Icebreaker is looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager – Iberia to join our Office based in Barcelona, Spain (Regular position).

This Key Accountant Manager will be responsible for the business for Icebreaker and Smartwool brands in wholesale (brick & mortar & digital) focusing on driving the revenues within the countries following & co-building the defined strategy.

Manage seasonal sell-in campaigns, in season management (shipping-credit-account connection) and sell-thru targets and opportunities to drive growth with the market within Icebreaker & Smartwool framework and strategies.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategy:

  • Co-Prepare and own the Strategic plan for the country to make the brand a dominant player in the country according to the selected distribution.
  • Be the point of reference for the country to drive the brand across commercial department.

Distribution and Sales:

  • Take overall responsibility for and provide strategic focus & leadership for the Regional Sales with autonomy
  • Develop detailed sales plans to drive results and achieve business targets.
  • Ensure implementation of sales and marketing tactics, specifically all seasonal sales strategies and GTM approach for all categories
  • Establish and maintain close contact with the management of existing Key accounts / partners.
  • Prospect new accounts to widen brand presence in the country
  • Maintain close relations with the customer base by frequent regional travel
  • Actively train, and visit key doors to boost sell thru
  • Closely work with marketing to develop Icebreaker brand awareness
  • Prepare, agree and submit seasonal product forecasts for all accounts
  • Build strong working partnerships with KA, sales associates, buyers
  • Close communication with all internal departments (head office, marketing, retail department, finance, operations etc.) on a frequent basic.

Skills for Success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.

  • Education: Post Graduate/MBA or equivalent qualification in Business.
  • Experience: Strong knowledge and experience in Sales in Wholesale accounts, Retail (ECI) across outdoor, lifestyle or Apparel business in Spain. Valuable experience in digital accounts management.
  • Leadership: Driven to achieve objectives
  • Language skills: Spanish mother tongue and fluent in English
  • Analytical Skills
  • Excel skills
  • Autonomy will be key for the position as management not based in Spain
